Return Policy

Products can only be returned in its original condition with the original packaging (clear plastic packaging and bar code sticker) and invoice.

We are UNABLE to accept any returns of OPENED or USED products. Please check your products carefully before opening them.

If you would like to make a return, please email us at info@hakuhodousa.com to obtain return instructions and a Return Merchandise Authorization number 30 days from the date of delivery.

If you would like to make an exchange, please return your product and make a new order online.

Hakuhodo USA is not responsible for any damage resulting from improper use or lack of maintenance.

Please note that the customer will be responsible for shipping and other possible fees incurred during the return/exchange process.

A 4% Credit Card/PayPal transaction fee will be deducted from the refund amount for returns of more than $300.

Restocking fee (Unused Products Only)

As a rule, you cannot return opened, non-defective items, but we will always try to make an exception for you. If an exception is granted within 7 days from the date of receipt and the package is opened but has never been used, you can contact us for an RMA number.

HAKUHODOUSA.COM reserves the right to refuse the return, or impose a 20% restocking fee. Please note that Hakuhodo is strict regarding the unopened packaging for sanitary reasons. This fee is for sterilizing and repacking in Japan.

Damaged or Defective Products

To ensure the highest possible quality, we fully inspect each product before it is shipped, however human error can occur due to the hand-made nature of our products. If any product is found to be defective, please contact us within 30 days from the date of purchase. If it has been damaged in shipping, please contact us immediately upon receipt.

A Refund or Exchange may be applied provided the conditions listed in our Return and Exchange Policy are met. All returns will be examined to determine the cause of the problem. If it is a manufacturing fault, we will replace the item free of charge and also reimburse you for your shipping cost to send the product to us. However if the reject is not Hakuhodo's responsibility, we are unable to offer an exchange or refund. You cannot return, replace, claim a shipment was lost, or request an RMA number 30 days or beyond after the purchase date.

Cancellation

Here at Hakuhodo USA, we try to process orders as soon as possible. Orders are normally shipped out the same day that they are placed and cannot be canceled after they are shipped out. If you would like to cancel your order, please contact us as soon as possible after order placement by email at info@hakuhodousa.com or by phone at 310-533-8600.

If your order has already been processed for shipment, you may still return the items and obtain a refund. Simply send the package back to us once you have received it, or refuse the package. Once we receive the items back, we will refund you for the order contents. 

HAKUHODOUSA.COM is not responsible for late cancellation notices and the customer will remain liable for all product(s), shipping, and handling fees.

Note: To protect the payer, you may be required to submit an “Acknowledgements of Payments Credit Card Use Authorization” if payer and recipient are different. You may also be required to supply front and back images of the credit card as well as photo ID matching the name of the credit card holder.
